Filmax Web Technologies has successfully concluded a two week training workshop for more than 60 District Public Relations Officers and IT officers.

The training which was aimed at creating skills capacity on the Web content Management System used to build district websites, also attracted officers from the President's Office and the Northern Province.

The training exercise was part of the many deliverables expected of the consulting company in the consultancy services to design, develop and implement the Rwanda Local Government Portal with 29 District websites, Office of the President and the Northern Province.

Two modules were designed for this special training; the front end module designed specifically for public relations officers and the back end for Information Technology officers. Apart from learning the web interface, features and dynamics, the PROs were given special training in web authoring which is a major component in streamlining content on all Government websites.

At the end of the training participants were familiar with all the components of their individual district websites, how to optimize pictures for web, how to administer content onto the website and how to translate content to fit in  the two languages available on the websites.
